Allotments

The Town Council lease and manage the Orrest Drive allotments site, providing 14 allotments in central Windermere - the first re-introduction of allotments, since public allotment provision was lost during the last century.
The allotments were set up with funding obtained from the National Lottery and were much needed - there is a very large demand for allotments locally. The Town Council is always on the look-out for more potential sites and is committed to helping local people to grow their own food, wherever possible. If you would like to enquire about an allotment and be placed on the waiting list please contact clerk@windermere-tc.gov.uk We have also provided a copy of the allotment agreement below so any prospective allotment holder knows what to expect.
