Glebe Bandstand

Glebe Windermere
The bandstand on the Glebe can be booked by bands and groups in the summer months. It has a small electricity supply.

There is no charge to use the bandstand, but bands are asked to bring along their own chairs if needed. There is a refundable deposit for damages and bands will need public liability insurance. For smaller bands, the Town Council will cover the damage deposit and the insurance.

A risk assessment for each performance is needed but, to make life easier, the Town Council have provided a standard one which should cover most eventualities. It is attached below.

We ask that bands do not engage in active fundraising, for which a special license is required. However, putting out a bucket for audiences to make a contribution voluntarily is fine. The Town Council will make available small grants to cover the incidental costs for the band. This is usually £50 for a small group (10 and under) or £100 for a larger group. The application is attached below:

You can book the Glebe bandstand via South Lakeland District Council (SLDC), who own the bandstand. The booking forms and information are attached below.
