At the Windermere Town Council AGM on Wednesday this week, it was agreed that both the Mayor and Deputy Mayor will continue in office. For the forthcoming civic year, the Mayor will continue to be Cllr Leith Hallatsch and the Deputy Mayor will continue to be Cllr Lisa Greasley.
Two groups of young people have got involved in the Winderclean litter-picking initiative, supported by the Town Council and organised by the Bowness & Windermere Community Car Trust. Well done to both the Windermere Cubs and to the pupils of St Cuthberts School. And thank-you from the Town Council and residents of Windermere & Bowness! Cumbria County Council are consulting on changes to the opening times for Windermere Library. Attached is the consultation document and questionnaire. Library hours basically remain the same for Windermere, but with earlier closing on Mondays.
