In 2012, South Lakeland District Council carried out the Clean Streets consultation, which considered introducing Dog Control orders. More than 1,000 people responded and, after considering the responses, the orders were put in place. Since then, the focus has been on prevention, through awareness, which included signs, leaflets and enforcement. 5 years on, the Dog Control legislation will expire in October 2017 and we have the option of replacement with a Public Space protection order. This survey asks a series of questions about dogs and public spaces. It is your opportunity to provide feedback on dog control matters in your area. For more information, visit the SLDC website, where there is a link to the survey, email [email protected] or phone SLDC on 015397 33333. There are 2 public events locally where you can have your say, both on 17th August 2017, at:
